Entry: 006
Name: Abigail
Age: 10
Champion: Mrs Stewart (Teacher)

Having dyslexia is like reading a single word that doesnt make a sentence. By the time I get to the end of the sentence I forget what the first half of the sentence is about.

I try my very best to finish my work but everyone is always finished before me. I feel disappointed because I know I have to finish my work later.

My champion is my teacher Mrs Stewart, because she always knows when I am panicking because I don't know what I am doing. She breaks the activity down into steps and uses pictures. She takes her time to listen to me and tries to understand me. Mrs Stewart tries to explain work in different ways so I can understand.

She is always proud of me when I do work and she never makes me feel like it is not good enough.
